What does it mean?

At his trial for heresy, Socrates is quoted by saying, "The unexamined life is not worth living." This statement prompted me to rethink web design and development. His notion shook me to my core. While Socrates was right, I chose to update my belief and wrap it around the world of web design and development. Perhaps our new mantra should read, "The unexamined design is not worth executing."

It was at this moment I started pondering words that might reveal the necessary feelings I wish to convey. This journey has been one of self reflection as to what I believe are the rudimentary skills in the design and construction of a web site.
